South Hadley crews shut down Ferry Street following single car accident

Posted: Updated:
SOUTH HADLEY, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

South Hadley crews responded to a single car accident tonight around 11pm that knocked down a utility pole on Ferry Street.

Live wires were reported to be on the ground, and the utility pole struck caused an oil spill.

Police have shut down Ferry Street briefly to clean the accident and have also shut down power to clear the power lines.

South Hadley Police are not reporting this to be a hazmat issue and expect the road to be reopened after electrical crews make repairs.
