Several power outages were being reported in western Massachusetts early Saturday morning including in Springfield, East Longmeadow, and Monson.
In Springfield, the Eversource Outage Map showed over 600 customers with no electricity. This was at about 6:45 a.m. Saturday morning.
Eversource reports they had a tree come down.
"It took out 2 poles on the North Branch Parkway so crews are working to reroute power. This was just after 6 a.m.," representative Al Lara told Western Mass News.
By about 7:20 a.m. power had been restored to those Springfield customers. However, that was not the case in several other communities.
Over in East Longmeadow, National Grid was reporting 111 customers without power as well as in Monson, with 50 customers out. And in Holland, 185 National Grid customers had no power Saturday morning.
National Grid representative, Christine Milligan told us that they also received a report of a tree that fell on wires. This was in the area of Moulton Hill Road in Monson, according to the Monson Police Department.
"Crew is on their way," Milligan said at about 7:10 a.m. Saturday.
According to the National Grid Outage Map, power was expected to be restored in those 3 communities by 9:30 a.m.
