School bus crashes into home, icy roads may be to blame

Posted: Updated:

GARDNER, Mass. (AP) - Authorities are looking into whether icy roads caused a school bus to slide off a road and strike a home in Massachusetts.

Police say the crash happened around 8 a.m. Monday in Gardner.

Fire officials say eight students were onboard when the bus driver lost control and struck the home. No injuries were reported, and the students eventually made their way to school.

Homeowner Dan Fluet tells NECN-TV he was at work at the time of the crash. He says the bus crash has caused thousands of dollars in damages.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
