Three suspects are facing a number of drug and traffic charges after they allegedly led police on a chase through several towns in Hampden County late Monday night.
Ludlow Police Sgt. Daniel Valadas said 46-year-old Robert Melling of Ludlow, 22-year-old Ruben Torres of Palmer, and 22-year-old Jonathan Martinez of Springfield failed to stop for police in Ludlow around 10:46 p.m.
Sgt. Valadas said the suspects fled from officers on Route 21 in Ludlow and led the pursuit into Wilbraham, Monson, then Palmer.
According to Sgt. Daniel Valadas, officers pulled them over because their vehicle was connected to a home break-in that occurred on Sunday.
Police in Palmer had to lay down tire spike strips where they eventually stopped on Bourne Street and were taken into custody.
Sgt. Valadas said when they searched the vehicle there was a large amount of heroin, marijuana, and cash inside.

Sgt. Valadas added all three suspects were booked at the Ludlow Police Department and appeared in Palmer District Court.
