SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

State and federal authorities is looking for your help in identifying a person whom they would like to speak to about a three year old case.

The FBI and the office of Mass. Attorney General Maura Healey are looking to speak to the man pictured in this story related to a 2015 violent assault that occurred in the Springfield area.

FBI spokesperson Kristen Setera noted that this person is not accused of any wrongdoing.

“We do not want to create a sense of alarm by releasing this photo. Our job as law enforcement is to track down any and all potential witnesses relating to criminal behavior in an ongoing investigation.  We hope someone in the community has information that will help us identify him," said Harold Shaw, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Boston Division.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI field office in Boston at (857) 386-2000 or online at tips.fbi.gov
