BELCHERTOWN, Mass. (AP) - A Massachusetts man has pleaded guilty to negligent motor vehicle homicide in a crash that killed a well-known Amherst blogger.

An Eastern Hampshire District Court judge sentenced 19-year-old Ryan Fellion to two years in prison Thursday but suspended the sentence as long as Fellion follows conditions of his probation.

He'll have to stay in counseling and give presentations to high school students about the consequences of dangerous driving, among other requirements.

Fellion, of Belchertown, changed his plea after initially saying he wasn't guilty in the 2017 death of 62-year-old Larry Kelley.

Police say Fellion was heading west on Route 9 when his vehicle crossed over the center line and hit Kelley's car. Kelley was declared dead at the scene.

Kelley ran the long-running blog "Only in The Republic of Amherst."
