Two people were arrested at a motel parking lot after West Springfield police recovered drugs and drug distribution products from a vehicle Tuesday night.
According to the West Springfield Police Department's Facebook page, Devin Martinez of Springfield and Jennifer Poulin of Torrington, Connecticut were placed into custody around 7 p.m. at the Red Roof Inn.
Detectives were conducting observation in the parking lot when they notice Poulin was sitting in a car, police said.
Poulin was placed under arrest after police determined she had a warrant. When police spoke to Martinez,the operator of the car, detectives found a baggie of heroin on the floor.
Martinez gave detectives permission to search the vehicle and that's when they allegedly found 100 bags of 'Pikachu' stamped heroin, 13 grams of crack cocaine, and 6 grams of marijuana inside a clear plastic bag.
Police said they also found packaging materials, a digital scale, and additional manufacturing and distributing products.
Martinez was charged with possession to distribute heroin, possession to distribute cocaine, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Poulin was charged with possession of heroin, and MTC warrant for motor vehicle violations.
