3 arrested after 335 bags of heroin seized during Greenfield traffic stop

GREENFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

Greenfield police recovered over 300 bags of heroin after conducting a traffic stop on Federal Street Thursday night. 

According to the Greenfield Police Department's Facebook page, officers pulled 29-year-old Jacob Haselton over around 8:15 p.m. after they determined he was driving with a suspended license. 

As a result of the stop, police allegedly found 335 bags of suspected heroin, $535 in cash, and ten nips of Fireball whiskey inside the vehicle. 

Police later determined Haselton was driving under the influence of alcohol, which was his third offense. 

24-year-old Jeremy Haselton was also in the car, and a third passenger who's identity was not released was charged with a misdemeanor possession of heroin charge. 

Jacob Haselton was charged with the following:

  • Operating a motor vehicle under the influence while having a suspended license for OUI
  • OUI 3rd offense
  • Trafficking heroin
  • Possession with intent to distribute a class 'A' substance

Jeremy Haselton was charged with:

  • Trafficking heroin
  • Civil Motor vehicle infraction

Jacob's bail was set at $10,000, Jeremy's bail was set at $2,000 and both are being held at the Franklin County House of Correction.
