Monthly subscription boxes are all the rage right now.
From food, to pet supplies, clothing, and fashion accessories, you can get just about anything delivered to your door.
So all this week, we're showcasing our series: There's A Box For That.
Monday’s box is from a company that says they have the “best men’s subscription box.”
It’s called Sprezza Box and they deliver fashionable clothing and accessories to your door every month for just about $30. They say they'll handpick 5 to 6 different products with a total value more than $100, then send them to you!
Some of the items could include socks, ties, even cigar cutters.
Our Chris Pisano, with credit card in hand and a 50 percent off coupon, signed up for the first month to see how it all works.
“Ordering is a snap,” Chris said. “You simply click on the "subscribe page" and enter your information.”
After about a week, Chris’ Sprezza Box arrived—sporting a Delta Airlines logo.
The company said that every now and then they do what's called a "collaboration" or box "takeover" and this box is one of those.
“Now it time to find what's inside,” Chris said, hovering his Sprezza Box. “And I suppose that's half the allure—getting a surprise like every month—because you never know exactly what it's going to contain. And this month…Hey! That's not bad.
A pair of red socks - for the Boston Red Sox. That works out well.
A matching tie. A preppy red rep tie.
Not sure what's in this. Oh, okay, some ear buds.
I've got maybe a lapel pin, looks like an airplane.
This is day serum—reviving day serum—I only wish it was a bigger container. Goodness knows I could use that.
And finally, maybe a passport booklet? I think so. A cover for my passport.
You know when I do all my jet-setting, world travel.
Now it's time to give my Sprezza Box a test drive.
New tie, new socks, and that airplane lapel pin was actually a tie clip.”
All decked out in his Delta-themed outfit, there's one final step for Chris: Peer review time.
“So -thumbs up, thumbs down?” Chris asked Dan Brown and Jordyn Jagolinzer.
“I would say thumbs up,” Dan said. “It goes well. The combo goes well.”
“I would say thumbs up for the tie and socks,” Jordyn explained. “But the tie clip, ewww. Not so much.”
“I don't mind the tie clip so much but I can see what you're saying,” Dan added. “Maybe a little plain or a little something.”
Sprezza box told Western Mass News in a statement: "As more young professionals are engaging with the e-commerce landscape, we are gaining more customers who are interested in the styles, prices, and convenience our service offers."
Sprezza Box said its target customers are men between the ages of 18 and 40.
