It's been a busy night fire fire crews in Ludlow as they responded to two separate fires within seconds of each other Monday night.

Ludlow Fire Captain Ricky Machado told Western Mass News a vehicle fire and a greenhouse fire occurred around 9:21 p.m.

The vehicle went up in flames at the intersection of Church and Rood Street which was closed for some time while crews worked the scene.

Two people were taken to the hospital from the vehicle fire with minor injuries, Captain Machado said.

The greenhouse caught fire at a home on 218 Fuller Street. Captain Machado noted crews were able to quickly knock down that fire, and no injuries were reported.

No word yet on what caused either fire.
