AGAWAM, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

Police in Agawam are searching for a missing person.

Agawam Police Chief Eric Gillis said that around 8 a.m. Friday, police received a call from someone saying that his roommate - 28 year old Kyle Farrelly of Feeding Hills - was missing and was last seen around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

A search was conducted around the area of Farrelly's home and the former Tuckahoe Turf property on foot, by air, and with K-9 units, with negative results.

Local hospitals were also contacted to see if Farrelly had been admitted, but that search also had negative results.

"It should be noted that Mr. Farrelly is not being sought for any criminal charges, and residents within and near the search area are not and were not in any danger," Gillis noted.

Farrelly is described as 6' tall, weighs 175 pounds, and has a slim build and blue eyes.

Anyone with information on Farrelly's whereabouts is asked to contact Agawam Police at (413) 786-1717.
