An attorney for the woman charged in connection with the disappearance of Joanne “Jo” Ringer has filed motions to dismiss charges against her and to suppress evidence in the case.
Laura Reilly is charged with misleading police officers in the investigation into the disappearance of Ringer, whose remains were found and identified in March... one year after she went missing.
Reilly's attorney Jesse Adams is challenging information found on Reilly's cell phone because of insufficient justification to issue a warrant.
The 13-page motion was obtained by Western Mass News, as well as a motion that moves to dismiss all counts of the indictment 'because the grand jury was not presented with evidence that established probable cause.
Reilly has not been named a suspect in Ringer's murder, but her ex-boyfriend, Ringer's then husband, was considered the sole suspect prior to his death by suicide.
