SOUTH HADLEY, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

A man was rescued by firefighters and transported to the hospital following a rollover crash in South Hadley overnight.

Emergency crews including police and fire were called in with the local fire department telling us they responded sometime after midnight Sunday.

"Someone did have to be rescued from the vehicle, door was crushed in on the passenger side," explained South Hadley Fire Department District 2 Firefighter, Mike O'Neill.

He says they did have to use the Jaws of Life to free the man from the vehicle.

No word on his current condition.

O'Neill says a pole and wires were knocked down when the accident occurred.

The South Hadley Police Department also responded to the scene.

Further details weren't immediately available.
