A child escaped injury this morning after the car seat they were in fell out of a moving vehicle.
Northampton Police Capt. John Cartledge said that around 9:45 a.m. Monday, a car was traveling down Finn Street and making a turn onto King Street.
Cartledge added that the child was able to get the door open and ss the car made the turn onto King Street, the seat - with the child still inside - fell out of the car.
The child was not injured.
The driver has been cited for a child restraint violation.
