Two Springfield men were arrested Wednesday night after they reportedly fled when police pulled them over.

Springfield police said 23-year-old David Beadle was driving with 22-year-old Joshua Evans and another passenger without a valid license around 11 p.m.

When officers pulled Beadle over on St. James Avenue and Bay Street, he fled going up Bay Street where he eventually lost control of his car, jumped a curb, and landed in someone's front yard on Westminster Street.

Beadle, Evans, and the third passenger got out and fled on foot.

The third passenger was able to evade police, but Beadle was arrested on Buckingham Street, and a State Police K-9 tracked down Evans hiding in a garage on Buckingham Street.

After police arrested Beadles and placed him into custody, they reportedly discovered a handgun near the car.

• Failure to stop/yield
• Negligent operation of a motor vehicle
• Resisting arrest
