Six Flags New England is partnering with Connecticut Children’s Medical Center today to recognize empowering women and their commitment to bettering their communities in their second annual Women in Uniform event.
The amusement park honored 14 inspiring women who serve their community as doctors, nurses, surgeons, medical technicians and other positions at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
Children of the highlighted female medical staff got to open Six Flags by launching bright, colorful confetti into the air.
Six Flags made a generous donation of $1,000 to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and also gave all women in uniform a free VIP experience to the amusement park.
Overall, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center employs around 2,200 females, including over 100 female technicians.
