If you are hoping to see players like Oil Can Boyd, Pedro Martinez, Bill Lee, and Derek Lowe take the field at Fenway Park again, this could be your chance.
The Boston Red Sox announced Thursday that on Sunday, May 27, the team will be hosting an alumni game at the famed Boston ballpark.
The three-inning game will begin at 10:30 a.m., before the Sox take on the Braves at 1:05 p.m.
Over two dozen Red Sox alums are scheduled to participate, including:
Dwight Evans and Luis Tiant will serve as team managers.
Those with tickets to the Sunday, May 27 Red Sox-Braves game are invited to attend. Will Call windows at Gates A, C, and D will open at 9:30 a.m. and those three gates (A, C, and D) will open at 10 a.m.
The last time Fenway hosted an alumni game was Saturday, May 29, 1993, which featured such players as Jim Rice, Carl Yastrzemski, and Jim Lonberg taking on an "Upper Deck Heroes" team including Ernie Banks, Vida Blue, and Cesar Cedeno.
