PD: Female suspect assaulted store clerk with price scanning gun

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

Springfield Police are asking for the public's help to identify a woman they said assaulted a store clerk with a price scanning gun. 

Police said the incident took place at a convenience store on the 600 block of Sumner Avenue on May 6 around 7:15 a.m.

The suspect has been described as 25 to 35 years old, and is around 5'7'' tall. 

Anyone who can identify the woman in the surveillance pictures is asked to contact Springfield police at 413-787-6355, by messaging police on Facebook, or by texting the word CRIMES then SOLVE to send a tip.
