Serious crash in Ware remains under investigation, 2 transported

WARE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

Western Mass News is learning today that 2 people involved in a serious crash in Ware Tuesday, were transported to the hospital from the scene. 

Emergency crews were on-scene of the one-vehicle accident for hours on Tuesday.

Police said the accident occurred on Malboeuf Road in Ware just before 4 p.m.  The road was shut down while officers investigated what happened. 

By 9:30 p.m. the area was reopened.

Mary Carey with the Northwestern District Attorney's Office reports that both the driver and passenger were in a pickup truck when it left the roadway and crashed into a telephone pole. 

They were both transported to the hospital for treatment.  Their current condition has not been released.

At this time no charges have been filed in connection with this crash. 

The accident remains under investigation by the Ware Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police Detectives Unit attached to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office, and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section (“CARS”).
