A new set of charges in Chicopee against a suspended Springfield Police Officer already facing child rape charges out of Springfield.
Daniel Cintron was arraigned yesterday in Chicopee District Court. He's facing multiple charges including 2 counts of Rape of a Child With Force, 2 counts of Indecent Assault and Battery of a Child Under 14, Obscene Matter to a Minor, 2 counts of Child in a Sexual Act Pose/Exhibit and 1 count of Witness Intimidation.
Late last week Monson police arrested the 28-year-old in their community. He was then arraigned in Springfield District Court on 8 counts of Rape of a Child With Force, 5 counts of Indecent Assault and Battery of a Child Under 14, and 5 counts of Witness Intimidation.
Springfield police say Cintron was already suspended without pay from charges relating to an off-duty incident that happened last year.
Cintron is being held without bail and is due back in court in Chicopee for a Dangerousness Hearing on May 25th.
