Firefighters and State Police responded to a reported brush fire in the median on I-91 North Saturday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the scene around 12:30 p.m.
Our crew reports they could see a lot of smoke rising from the median, but luckily no flames. This was just before 1 p.m. today. We also spotted fire crews pouring water on the brush fire.
State Police had shut down one lane of travel on the northbound side of the highway while Hatfield firefighters work on knocking it completely out.
Luckily, traffic was not backed up too much in the area.
The area has since been cleaned up and the one lane on the northbound side has reopened.
