Friday was quite the day for a group of high school students in Holyoke, especially for one graduating senior.
It was all made possible by Gary Rome Hyundai where they gave out a big prize for academic achievements as a part of their 2018 'Year of Excellence' campaign.

Santos was one of just fifteen finalists pulled at random from over 130 Holyoke students.
Seniors who qualified for the pool had to maintain a 3.0 GPA with fewer than six absences and tardies, and less than three discipline referrals over their high school careers.
Also included in the drawing were students nominated by their guidance counselors for raising their GPA's and improving attendance and self-discipline
The year of excellence campaign began at the beginning of the school year to encourage graduates from two Holyoke high schools to shine during their senior year.
"Hopefully we made a difference for some of the students. They worked a little harder, they focused a little more, and this will be a good launching pad for them as they graduate and start their career in college," said Gary Rome.
The finalists were announced Friday in the Holyoke High School gym. Fifteen seniors were then given a car key but only one would unlock the doors to a new Hyundai Accent. Santos was the first to try his luck, and his key was the magic ticket.
"What are the odds that I'm the first person picked and then the first one to get the car," Santos added.
Antonio is heading to Western New England University where he's entering a five year program to receive his Bachelor's and then MBA in computer science.
He said he'll use his new car to commute to school.
