One person is dead after suffering injuries while parachuting over the weekend.
Mary Carey, spokesperson for the Northwestern District Attorney's office, said that a parachutist sustained serious injuries after she veered off course and collided with a barn Saturday on South Main Street in Orange.
"She was transported first to Athol Memorial Hospital, and then UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, where she died on June 4," Carey explained.
The incident remains under investigation by Orange Police and troopers assigned to the D.A.'s office.
