Two men are facing felony charges after Chicopee police said they stole a woman's purse over the weekend.
According to Officer Mike Wilk, the incident happened on Sunday at BJ's Wholesale Club on Memorial Drive around 5:30 p.m.
The victim told police her purse was in the cart outside her car when a white male ran up, took the purse, and fled in a grey BMW.
An officer spotted the BMW on Sheriden Street near Holiday Circle and pulled it over.
It was determined that the driver, who was identified as 26-year-old Kyle Guenette of Wilbraham, and a passenger, 33-year-old Brandon Salmans of New York were the suspects involved.
Wilk said that as Guenette and Salmans drove away, they threw items from inside the purse out the car window.
It was noted the estimated value of the purse and the items inside were valued close to $900.
Police also discovered that Salmans was wanted out of New York for Robbery, Wilk added.
Guenette was charged with Accessory after the Fact (felony), and Salmans was charged with Larceny from a Person (felony) and Fugitive from Justice.
Both Guenette and Salmans were processed and held until their arraignment in Chicopee District Court on Monday.
