Over a dozen people were issued court summons during the 'Right to Health and a Healthy Planet' rally in downtown Springfield Monday afternoon.
Protesters gathered at Court Square, and some made their way inside the State House.
The rally was organized by the Massachusetts Poor People's Campaign who said their goal for Monday's event was to focus on the elimination of air pollution that causes asthma in the city.
The group said Springfield was recently rated the most challenging in the county for those who have asthma.
State Police Trooper Sullivan told Western Mass News that no one was arrested, but 21 people were issued summons for trespassing on state property.
