Springfield Police are continuing their efforts to try and crack down on prostitution throughout the city.
This week, an investigation by Springfield Police led to the arrests of seven women who are all facing charges of prostitution.
On Monday afternoon, police arrested three women from Springfield in the area of Edwards and Chestnut Streets.
Those women were identified by police as 32-year-old Dolores Crichlow, 31-year-old Kara Duval, and 42-year-old Svetlana Ivanov.
All three were charged with engaging in sexual conduct for a fee. Police said Crichlow was additionally charged for two default Springfield District Court warrants.
Another round of arrests were made Wednesday afternoon in the area of Temple, School, Union, and Worthington Streets.
Police identified those four women as 29-year-old Samantha Fruwirth, 33-year-old Theresa Scanlon, 28-year-old Amanda Fernandes, and 32-year-old Rose Sorrell and charged them with engaging in sexual conduct for a fee.
Police noted the investigation was a result of residents expressing their concerns of this issue during C3 meetings.
