With the grand opening of MGM Springfield just weeks away, we are getting a sneak peek at more of the features inside the hotel.
On Friday, the company released renderings of the designs for the hotel's lobby and suites.
The look, MGM said, incorporates architectural elements from the period styles of neighboring buildings, while also taking cues from Springfield's industrial and literary history.
“MGM Springfield will fit seamlessly into the historic character of Downtown Springfield, while creating a landmark destination for entertainment and excitement. Our design celebrates what is authentic while spotlighting the iconographs of the region’s past in creative ways," said MGM Springfield President Michael Mathis in a statement.
The hotel lobby will feature eclectic area rugs, red-brick accents, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves filled with vintage books, and glass windows.
Behind the front desk, vintage printing press letter blocks will spell out 'MGM Springfield'.

The lobby will also feature a cocktail bar, custom-designed couches and armchairs in various hues and upholstery, and high-top tables.
Once guests get their keys, they will head to the elevator vestibule, which features a restored 19th century chandelier and elevator cars with custom iron grating and peek-a-boo glass doors to offer a view between each floor.
A digital wall cover across from the elevators will feature book spines from famous authors, including Emily Dickinson.
The hotel's 16 suites will feature natural lighting and sight-lines of the nearby architecture and accents including subway tile, wired glass shower doors, floral elements, art, and soft upholstery.
Guests will be able to choose from one of five types of suites: Rotunda Suite, End Suite, Bay Suite, Garden and Spa Suites, and the Presidential Suite.
MGM is scheduled to open on Friday, August 24.
