There was a shooting incident in Springfield overnight and police say the victim showed up at the hospital on their own.
Springfield Police Captain Richard LaBelle confirmed with Western Mass News the shooting happened on Maple Street.
This was just before 2 a.m. Sunday when police responded to the Shotspotter activation.
LaBelle reports the victim showed up at Mercy with non-life threatening injuries.
"Shot in the lower extremities," he explained to us.
Police say both the victim and people on scene have not been cooperative with their investigation into this shooting which occurred on the 100 block of Maple St.
No reports of any arrests in connection to this incident.
