HOLYOKE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

An investigation is ongoing after a man's body was pulled from water near the Connecticut River in Holyoke Thursday afternoon.

According to Holyoke Police Lt. Albert, it was the body of a 32-year-old Williamsburg resident.

Holyoke Police Lt. Michael McCoy said that police and fire crews responded to the area of High Rock, near Jones Point, around 2 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities have determined there is no suspected foul play, and the cause of the man's death could possibly be accidental, Lt. Albert noted.

We're told the man's family was at the scene when crews recovered his body from the water.

Police are expected to release the man's name on Friday.

The incident remains under investigation by Holyoke police and State Police assigned to the Hampden District Attorney's office.
