The Longmeadow Police Department says if you are missing any items or if your vehicle was entered overnight, to call them.  They notified residents of the situation on their Facebook page Saturday morning.

It all started with a call to police at about 11:45 Friday night at the Emerson Manor Apartments on Emerson Road.

"...Officers were dispatched to the Emerson Manor Apartments for a report of two males dressed in all black "pulling" doors of parked cars in the parking lot," explained police.

When officers responded to the area to investigate, they allegedly saw a vehicle speeding away from the apartments.

Soon afterwards the vehicle was spotted driving through a red light, police report.  This was at Rt. 5 and Bliss Road, so officers pursued it eventually stopping it on Belleclaire Ave.

Both occupants in the vehicle were arrested for allegedly having stolen property in their possession.  Police identifying the driver as Joseph Canini from Southwick, and the passenger as Luis Angel Ramos.

The stolen items were confirmed to be from 2 different vehicle break-ins, police say...describing some of the stolen property as "very unique."

Police are thanking the person who originally called them about the suspicious activity at the Emerson Manor Apartments.

Call the Longmeadow Police Department at 413-567-3311 if you believe your vehicle was broken into, or if you are missing any items.
