It's been a very exciting World Cup for soccer fans as the tournament comes to a close this weekend.

It's been a month of steep competition and one local business is benefiting from the excitement.

Even though team USA isn’t in the world cup this year, soccer fans are still heading out to team sports to gear up.

The FIFA World Cup is coming to a close with the finals on Sunday in Russia, but business isn't winding down at Team Sports in West Springfield.

"There really trying to root for their teams. The U.S. isn't in it this time, so people have really been going for their roots it’s been really exciting to see," said Eric Suares, Team Sports Store Manager.

Soccer jerseys from all over the world line the walls at the store, and some have even sold out.

General World Cup gear is ready to go for fans without a favorite team.

"We have so many calls every single day, what we have that people can come in and get so many people coming in," Suares added.

Western Mass News found Team Sports is more than just a store, they have televisions up that play the games when they are on, and some fans come just to hang out.

"We have more sales definitely. We always have the games on when they’re happening so people come in we watch it all together it’s really exciting," Suares continued.

They expect business to stay steady through the weekend, and they will be sad to see the tournament come to an end.

But with local soccer season just around the corner, there is a lot to look forward to.
