JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP/Meredith) — One person was killed in a targeted shooting outside an Amazon warehouse in Jacksonville, Florida Monday afternoon, according to authorities.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said a 20-year-old man who was standing in line to apply for a job at the Amazon warehouse was shot and killed. Police said the man who was killed was targeted by shooters who drove to and fled from the scene. Police are searching for three suspects.

Two others suffered minor injuries from grazed bullets and did not require hospitalization.

“We’re trying to determine what the motive was why they were after this victim. We have about 10 eyewitnesses that were both inside and outside of the facility,” JSO Assistant Chief Brian Kee told News 4 JAX. “This does not appear to be a workplace violent incident that you would normally associate with workplace violence or mass shootings.”
