Memo’s in West Springfield held their annual Mother’s Day Brunch Sunday.

Women-owned businesses joined forces to benefit and raise awareness for the organization.

The event featured ice cream trucks, live music, face painting, donation opportunities and more. The event took place from 12-6p.m. Saturday.

The commencement kicked off Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at the MassMutual Center. This was the college’s 137th commencement.

The event was hosted by the Longmeadow Democratic Town Committee at the Twins Hills Country Club.

The Miracle League of Western Massachusetts, a nonprofit organization that gives children of all abilities the chance to play baseball, hosted its spring season opening day.

“It’s nice to have 80 people out here on this beautiful day doing what they think is best for the community. We got folks over here tearing it up. Good for you guys!”

Bill Wells will be running for 24 consecutive hours on a portion of Main Street in town to raise awareness about mental health.

There were four age groups ranging from 3-to 14 years old.

In years past, they hosted their annual in-person Easter banquet, but this year, they decided to host a to-go event to maintain the safety of the community and help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
