Briceyda Landaverde is currently the Weekend Morning Anchor and Dayside Reporter at Western Mass News. She joined the team in December of 2019 as a Multimedia Journalist and Producer.
During her time in Western Mass, Briceyda has covered a wide range of stories, including extensive coverage on the Covid-19 Pandemic and how it impacted the lives of local families. Most recently, Briceyda reported on our continuing coverage of the two officer-involved shootings in the city of Springfield in just the first month of 2022.
Previously, Briceyda worked at WRNN-TV Verizon FiOS1 News on Long Island, NY. At FiOS, she was a Photographer and Editor covering breaking news, the MS-13 gang investigations, sports stories, and community-driven stories.
The Long Island native graduated from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with a concentration in Broadcasting News, and a multidisciplinary minor in Women’s Studies and History. During her time at Stony Brook, she traveled to Havana, Cuba as a student journalist and reported during a time of historical change.
Briceyda is thrilled to continue exploring Western Mass! In the past two years, she has enjoyed hiking on Mt.Tom in Holyoke, trying out new brunch places, and meeting the community in person! She also joined the Dress for Success of Western Massachusetts organization in 2021.
In her free time, she enjoys listening to podcasts, practicing yoga, exploring New England, and visiting family back at home on Long Island.
