Mary Wilson comes to Western Mass News after anchoring and reporting in Albany, NY for 6 years. In her time at WTEN, she anchored live from the Saratoga Race Course, hit the campaign trail for the 2016 presidential elections, and followed the aftermath of the deadly Schoharie limousine crash.

Prior to that, she was an evening anchor at WUTR in Utica, NY where she took the lead role in live coverage from the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown and the famous Boilermaker Road Race.

Mary is a proud graduate of Syracuse University’s Newhouse School where she studied broadcast journalism and was a member of the D1 Women’s Rowing Team.

As a native of southern VT, Mary’s no stranger to the Springfield area. She grew up taking trips to Yankee Candle and Holyoke Mall and showed dairy cattle at The Big E with her 4-H club.

Mary and her fiancé live in the Pioneer Valley where they look forward to using the bike trail and exploring restaurants and breweries in the area.
