(WHDH/CNN) -- A Massachusetts doctor has been arrested for murder in connection with the death of his wife, whose body was found in a wooded area near her home late Saturday night.
Police arrested Ingolf Tuerk, accused of murdering his wife in Dover near Boston.
Authorities said Kathleen McLean, 45, had not been seen since Thursday evening before her body was found Saturday night. Officials said her body was found not far from her home.
Neighbors said it is shocking to learn that something like this took place in their neighborhood. On Sunday, people stopped by the couple’s home to leave flowers and other items in honor of McLean.
In November of last year, Tuerk settled a lawsuit filed against him by Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey’s office for falsely billing MassHealth. At the time, he practiced urology at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton and paid $150,000 in the settlement.
