Exhibit in Agawam celebrates 100th anniversary of the Big E

A special exhibit in Agawam is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Big E.

The Agawam Historical and Firehouse Museum took a stroll down memory lane, showcasing items that have been collected over the years.

Billed as New England’s great state fair, David Cecchi says this means a lot to him.

“I grew up on my family’s farm and we exhibited produce there when we were kids and I went to every fair my whole life,” said Cecchi.

Cecchi has a book coming out about the Big E in September. He has been working closely with the Eastern States Exposition to complete the project.
