BOSTON (WGGB/WSHM) -- State officials have released new information in regards to coronavirus cases in the Bay State.

The Mass. Department of Public Health said that as of Tuesday, April 7, there were 15,202 confirmed cases in the Bay State, which is 1,365 new cases since yesterday. 

State officials noted that over 81,344 people have been tested.

Of those total cases, 356 deaths are now being attributed to COVID-19.  That's 96 more deaths than reported on Monday.

The county-by-county breakdown of cases is as follows:

  • Barnstable Co. - 405
  • Berkshire Co. - 278
  • Bristol Co. - 768
  • Dukes Co. - 9
  • Essex Co. - 1,841
  • Franklin Co. - 118
  • Hampden Co. - 997
  • Hampshire Co. - 158
  • Middlesex Co. – 3,187
  • Nantucket - 9
  • Norfolk Co. – 1,592
  • Plymouth Co. - 1,194
  • Suffolk Co. - 3,245
  • Worcester Co. - 1,172
  • Unknown - 229

Mass. DPH noted that 1,435 people needed hospitalization, 4,316 did not need to be hospitalized, and 9,451 people are still under investigation.

By age group, Mass. DPH reported the following:

  • 19 or younger : 338 people
  • 20-29 : 2,013 people
  • 30-39 : 2,389 people
  • 40-49 : 2,408 people
  • 50-59 : 2,886 people
  • 60-69 : 2,148 people
  • 70-79 : 1,381 people
  • 80 and over: 1,639 people
