BOSTON (WGGB/WSHM) -- State officials have released new information in regards to coronavirus cases in the Bay State.
The Mass. Department of Public Health said that as of Saturday, January 16, there were 444,028 confirmed cases in the Bay State. That marks an increase of 5,657 cases since Friday.
There were also 112,120 new people tested by molecular test reported since Friday, with a total of 12,259,486 molecular tests administered.
There are 2,197 patients currently hospitalized with COVID-19.
Of those total cases, 13,305 deaths are now being attributed to COVID-19. That's an increase of 74 newly reported confirmed deaths since Friday.
The state on Thursday, January 7, also released its weekly report on community day and the incidence map.
