BOSTON (WGGB/WSHM) -- State officials have released new information in regards to coronavirus cases in the Bay State.
The Mass. Department of Public Health said that as of Sunday, October 18, there were 140,647 confirmed cases in the Bay State. That marks an increase of 744 cases since Saturday.
State officials noted that 2,514,633 people have been tested by molecular tests.
There were also 15,588 new people tested by molecular test reported since Saturday, with a total of 5,168,943 molecular tests administered.
Of those total cases, 9,517 deaths are now being attributed to COVID-19. That's an increase of 14 newly reported confirmed deaths since Saturday.
