The transition to all electronic tolling along the Mass. Pike began Friday night.

Governor Charlie Baker tweeted that there were 215,000 transactions on the gantries on the Mass Pike between 10 p.m. last night and 8 a.m. this morning.

New signs guiding drivers on the new tolling system have been posted. Demolition of the toll booths is set to begin on Monday. Mass DOT reports that temporary lane alignments are set up for toll plaza demolition. They say they are ahead of schedule.
