CHICOPEE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -- A Chicopee man is under arrest following a raid Friday morning.

Chicopee Police Officer Michael Wilk said that narcotics officers were granted a search warrant following an investigation and around 10 a.m. Friday, that warrant was executed on a Cambridge Street residence.

During that search, investigators reportedly seized a handgun and drug paraphernalia used in making and distributing cocaine.

Police also arrested 42-year-old Cornelio Rivera of Chicopee on charges including manufacturing a Class B drug, possession of a Class B drug (subsequent offense), improper storage of a firearm near a minor, possession of a firearm without a license, and possession of ammunition without a license.

Rivera was booked at Chicopee Police headquarters then transported to Chicopee District Court for arraignment.
