Two men were shot in the parking lot by the Basketball Hall of Fame following what police say was a conflict inside of Samuel's Sports Bar.

Springfield Police Captain Richard LaBelle tells Western Mass News it happened around 2 o'clock Saturday morning when they responded to a shots fired call.

When officers arrived at the bar, police say they discovered that the two victims didn't wait for an ambulance and had already gone to Baystate Medical Center via "private transport."

Both suffered non-life threatening injuries, LaBelle confirmed. He says that one man was shot in the foot, while the other was hit in the leg.

So far the effort to identify the suspect involved in the shooting continues. We're told police will be sorting through footage from nearby businesses.

Further details weren't released.

The shooting remains under investigation by the Springfield Police Department.
