Victim of crash on Goodwin St. in Springfield identified

The victim of a deadly car crash that occurred Sunday in Springfield has been identified.

Police were called to the area of Goodwin Street and E. Laramee Green Street shortly after 12 a.m. Sunday after a car crashed into a tree.

Two people were taken from the scene to Baystate Medical Center. One person was listed in "stable condition" while the other died at the hospital.

James Leydon, spokesperson for the Hampden County District Attorney's office, identified the victim of that crash as 17-year-old Alfonzo Little of Springfield.

Little was a passenger in the vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation by the Springfield Police traffic bureau and the D.A.'s motor vehicle homicide unit.
