CHICOPEE, Mass. (AP) - Several World War II-era aircraft including one of just two B-29 Superfortress bombers in the world that can still fly are coming to Massachusetts.
The Commemorative Air Force AirPower History Tour is scheduled to arrive at Westover Air Reserve Base in Chicopee starting Wednesday and stay through Sunday.
The Superfortress, named Fifi, will be accompanied by a C-45 Expeditor and a T-6 Texan, both training aircraft.
Members of the public are invited to the base's Main Terminal to get an up close look at the aircraft. Rides in the planes are also available for an additional fee of up to $1,695.
The B-29 is best known as the aircraft whose missions in the Pacific Theater helped end World War II. Both atomic bombs were dropped by B-29s.
