Starbucks Coffee shop

(Meredith) - Starbucks announced that it's giving free coffee to first responders and healthcare workers dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.

Any customer who identifies as a first responder or frontline worker in the healthcare system will receive a free tall brewed coffee, either hot or iced, USA Today reported.

The offer, which is valid through May 3, is for police officers, firefighters, paramedics, doctors, nurses, hospital staff and medical researchers.

Earlier this week, Starbucks closed its cafes due to the coronavirus outbreak and reduced its services to drive-thru and delivery only.

The company's charitable arm, the Starbucks Foundation, is also donating $500,000 for care packages and medical equipment for frontline responders.
