(Meredith) -- A woman in Jackson, Mississippi, is taking her singing talents on the road...literally.

Christina Spann is serenading her neighbors through "mobile concerts" by singing from the sunroof of a car.

"I have always loved making people happy," she told WLBT. She said she got the idea when she was walking and noticed the general vibe of anguish and insecurity. To combat this, she decided to sing.

At first, she thought she was annoying the neighbors, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Her neighbors thanked her for lightening the mood.

"Just to see the smiles on people's faces during this time was just so good to see," Spann said.

Ever since that moment, she's hit the streets. Her boyfriend, Duncan, drives the car while Spann belts out tunes from the sunroof.

"We don't know what tomorrow brings, but there is hope that we will get through this as a state, as a community, as a nation," Spann told WLBT.
