A weak front is moving through western Mass. this morning. However aside from a sprinkle or light shower there's not much to it. In fact, the clouds are already giving way to some sunshine and although it's rather muggy nowit will become less humid this afternoon as a northwesterly breezy increases. It will be a warm but pleasant afternoon with temperatures reaching into the low to mid 80s as high pressure settles into the area. Tomorrow will be the pick of the weekend as high pressure hangs on. We'll see a mixture of sunshine and clouds as it becomes a bit more humid late in the day. The humidity certainly builds in for Father's Day, which is also the first day of astronomical summer. The summer solstice is at 12:38 p.m. The building humidity will lead to showers and some downpours as the remains of Bill move through. A few afternoon thunderstorms are possible as well. It will not be raining the entire day but it will certainly be unsettled. Copyright 2015 Western Mass News (Meredith Corporation). All rights reserved.
