It was a comfortable start to the weekend yesterday but it's going to start to turn more humid today and there is the chance for an isolated shower or storm late tonight. Summer time heat and humidity return for much of the upcoming week.
As high pressure continues move away from the Northeast, our temperatures and dew points will start to increase. Sunday starts comfortable, but dew points will rise throughout the day. Under partly sunny skies highs will top out in the lower 80s. Clouds will increase tonight and it will be a mild and muggy night with lows falling into the middle and upper 60s. There is the chance for a shower or thunderstorm overnight. Some patchy fog is possible as well.
Hot and humid weather continues for Labor Day with highs approaching 90 and dew points nearing 70. Tuesday will be a scorcher as everyone heads back to work and school. Heat Advisories may be issued as temps hit lower 90s and high humidity will make it feel more like 95-100. A cold front to our north looks to creep southward through midweek, bringing an increased chance for showers and thunderstorms. Not seeing great rain chances right now, but even the clouds should bring some heat relief. Showers and storms are more likely late in the week as a stronger front arrives.
