Partly cloudy and colder tonight. Clouds increase tomorrow

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The storm system that brought the rain and a light accumulation of snow to northwestern parts of the area is pulling away and drier air is moving in. Areas in northwestern parts of Franklin county such as Rowe and Heath saw about 1-2" of snow.

A weak front pushes through the region tonight and while it does not bring any precipitation with it we will see winds shift to the northwest as slightly colder air moves in. Lows tonight will drop back into the low to middle 20s under partly cloudy skies.

Another coastal low passes out to sea on Sunday, keeping us dry. An Arctic front will deliver a flurries and snow showers Sunday night into Monday as this second storm pushes away. Behind this front, temperatures will only top off in the lower twenties Monday and Tuesday afternoon with lows in the lower teens and a feel-like temperature near zero. Low temperatures are only in the mid to upper single digits Monday night and in the lower teens on Tuesday night. Temperatures will moderate late next week.
